Cinema for the Ears
2007-03-03

During the week LEAA´s team organized an event called "Cinema for the Ears". This project has been developed since 2004 by the Radio Art Group/LEAA-Recôncavo and consists in presenting sound pieces to an audience in a dark auditorium. The idea is to stimulate hearing and sensibility to radio productions and soundscapes as music and compositon. In this edition, we presented a large piece composed using water sounds and pieces from the "Sound of our Water - 2007" avaiable in the DigiArts Library. We named each piece, countries and groups who produced the water pieces. Our audience was formed by the students involved in the "The Sound of our Water" and "Youth Creating and Communicating on HIV and AIDS" and by people from the community. This activity was followed by a public showing of the videos that we made during the development of the two YDC DigiArts UNESCO projects we participated in this season. All the videos are available in the following address: www.youtube.com/LEAA7. Enjoy!
